Students in the Wellington Catholic District School Board continue to show consistent achievement on the Grade 9 Assessment of Mathematics according to results released today by the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO).
The percentage of students who met or exceeded the provincial standard on the 2015-2016 Grade 9 Assessment of Mathematics was 90% for the Academic course and 57% for the Applied course. These results are well ahead of the Provincial results rate of 83% and 45% respectively.
"We are very pleased with our overall results which have historically exceeded the provincial results,” commented Tamara Nugent, Director of Education. “Our ongoing analysis of data by board, school and student helps us to personalize our professional development and instruction, enabling the greatest success possible for each one of our students."
