The Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) released the results of the provincial assessment results for Reading, Writing and Mathematics in the Primary (Grades 1-3) and Junior (Grades 4-6) Divisions in all elementary schools in Ontario on Sept. 21st. The results show that Wellington Catholic District School Board students are achieving scores that are on par with the provincial averages in Reading and Writing while showing slightly better scores in Mathematics. The results indicate Wellington Catholic students are acquiring the necessary skills to achieve high levels of academic performance in these areas of the curriculum.
“Our Catholic schools remain committed to excellence and improving outcomes for all students”,
commented Tamara Nugent, Director of Education. “We are very proud of the academic achievement of our students and the increase in achievement results over time.
